BANKING DETAILS - NO INVOICE - Cash Converters Northgate SUCKS! Never again will I set foot in any Cash Converters - all because of Northgate Branch. TWICE BITTEN TWICE SHY. Never going to be a 3rd time!!!! The 1st experience nearly went pear-shaped but due to crisis management & complaint to the store manageress, I bought the bed. A couple of days ago I decided to have look in the store & fell in love with a 2nd hand L-shaped corner blue lounge suite R4,999. Innocent assisted. After literally begging, the store manager heard the conversation & she committed to placing a "reserved" sign on the suite. The deal was to sell my lounge suite to cash converters & that I pay in the difference once a suitable price negotiated. Innocent & the buyer came to my residence morning of 29/10/2019 (an hour later than scheduled). I had to phone to find out whether he was still to arrive, needless to say I had sacrificed time off work & to make up those work hours. Innocent & buyer arrived - no apologies. I was speechless because I entertained their sales pitch. I work for a large corporate in sales so I know how tough & volatile the sales industry is as well as the battle to survive in this economy. The attitude of Innocent & his "crony" - quote by Innocent: "he is well experienced & knows his prices". I didn't even bother to remember the "crony's" name - I was totally unimpressed by his demeanour. They thought I was BEGGING for Cash Converters business. They didn't see the signs. A very uncompetitive price was labelled by, quote "my very old lounge suite not really in good condition". Yet Innocent & manageress agreed from the photos that it was very marketable and in good condition. Photos didn't lie. But yet the "crony" was arrogant & made it seem that my furniture was in distaste & beat me right down in price leveraging the fact that the "profit the shop has to make in mark-up". I understand all of that jargon!!! "Crony" treated me as an imbecile & I resent that attitude. Hence me writing this review at 3:00am! I had to followup with Innocent. I ran around ensuring I got the cash together & literally BEGGED Innocent to email me an invoice to also reflect the price of my lounge suite. At the same time I was also communicating with the manageress hoping to get some sort of committment. That I did....banking details were emailed - NO INVOICE!!! Innocent had promised to email during the business day. COB came & went....no invoice. OH YES, I forgot to add that Innocent kept on reminding me that another customer was interested in the same lounge suite. Couldn't he get it that I was committed to the sale?. Actions speak louder than words Innocent. I got the impression that Innocent did not want to sell it to me, but to rather sell it to another. The sale was there in his face. The funds was available & what did Cash Converters Northgate do? Back-lashed me through my face & teeth. Not interested in my business. All throughout communications, I maintained professionalism and courtesy. Innocent was brazen enough to tell me over the phone "my manageress is shouting at me"! Geez guys, you are absolutely a laugh a second. Your advert quotes "high service standards"....my foot!!!! If I were to treat my customers the way you treat yours, I would have been fired years ago. STEP UP YOUR GAME PLAN CASH CONVERTERS NORTHGATE ....you snooze you lose & you lose profits and stakeholders. Take your jobs and customers more seriously. Don't hood-winkle us. TO LATE TO BAD. I am glad I am out of this deal. Lesson number 1: don't take your customers for granted & think that you have satisfied them. The sun set on NO SALE - NO CLOSURE. Never let that happen. DQ
