oxidation and formation of breakdown products at frying temperatures and longer shelf life of finished products. In fact, Palm Olein is considered as the gold standard in frying and is perhaps, the most widely used frying oil in the world.

Palm Olein oils came about due to Palm Oil not being entirely suitable in various applications due to Palm Oils solid consistency and its high melting point. The fractionation process lowers the melting point of Palm Oils and removes any residual tastes which are associated with Palm Oils.

Many Palm Olein oils on the market are blended and further refined to remove the stearin content. Stearin’s are widely used in the manufacture of margarines. By removing too much stearin in palm oils, the fry life of the oil is affected. Our product is supplied to the South African market unaltered. We supply a premium product from Malaysia.

Unlike Palm Oil which has a pallet cling and is purported to having a distinct aroma and flavours, Palm Olein does not have the same properties, which makes it the preferred product for usage in commercial frying.
