Our crazy ideas about quality, value for money and guarantees makes us the number one seller of damaged appliance units in South Africa. The Appliance Warehouse was founded in 1994 as a small store selling kitchen utensils, pots and crockery.
In 1999 Dr Johan Olivier obtained a contract to distribute shop soiled appliances from a small warehouse with only two employees in Midrand, Centurion. The business repositioned itself as a wholesaler of factory damaged appliances. It was soon realised that few suppliers offered clients what they really wanted and needed… quality, reliability and affordable appliances. Appliance Warehouse grew to four stores, but due to the high demand and shortage of products, we only kept the store in Centurion. We changed our focus to internet sales following

The store carries products in a variety of categories – new branded appliances, box damaged appliances and demo models. New Branded Home Appliances Stock consists of imported & branded appliances classified as NEW APPLIANCES.
These items are sold with a full manufacturer’s warranty and large appliances carry a full supplier warranty. Scratch and Dent Appliances Stock are appliances with minor imperfections such as a scratch or dent. Some of these items can still be classified as new, although the box is noticeably damaged. All large appliances carry a 1-year warranty. Demo Appliances Stock are appliances that have been used as display or demonstrator models or have been previously repaired within the factory warranty period.
