The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) is one of the youngest universities in South Africa. UMP is a comprehensive higher education institution offering a broad range of qualifications; from Higher Certificates to Doctoral Degrees.

UMP was established in 2013. The university has two campuses with Mbimbela Campus – formally the Lowveld College of Agriculture as the main campus, the Siyabuswa Campus – formally the Siyabuswa Education Campus, as well as two sites of delivery in Marapyne and the Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust (MRTT).

As one of the first public universities to be established in South Africa since 1994, UMP stands as a symbol of the ambitions of the new South African society.
