Choma - Johannesburg

Choma is an innovative project brought to you by HIVSA and funded by the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program, our NGO have created a digital, interactive mobile magazine dedicated to young females between the ages of 15-25 in South Africa with the purpose of educating, inspiring and empowering woman with the knowledge to lead an HIV free generation.

Choma`s innovative magazine and various social media platforms reach and engage with young adolescent females with topics of interest to them including everything from love and relationships, inspiration, health, fashion, beauty, sex, pregnancy and living with HIV.

The magazine creates a safe space for users to engage with Choma and has positioned itself as the`best friend`, the `big sister` and go-to-place for articles of interest,

to answer poll questions, somewhere to share their story and receive credible advice given to them in complete confidence. We understand knowledge is power and we aim to inspire a positive change around age-old conventions by addressing the issues of the stigma around HIV and Aids and educating young ladies to be able to make better life choices.
