Metal Protection & Engineering (MPE) was established in 2000 by Pieter Schutte. Pieter identified a definite shortage in the Metallurgical industry for reliable and knowledgeable consultants and suppliers of specialized welding equipment, services including refurbishment, hard facing and quality welding consumables.
The company expanded in 2003 and Metal Protection Products (Cape Town) has opened it’s doors.
The services MPP & MPE offers today include hard facing, wear plates, site work, refurbishment, manufacturing and reconditioning of rolls and quality welding consumables.

We have developed and pride ourselves in ensuring strict adherence to our documented quality assurance procedures.
Through consistent communication with all stakeholders, we ensure weekly feedback on progress of job right up till the end of Quality Assurance
We track and maintain a Quality Management System (Copy available on request) with various elements addressing current work done with existing clients. We are also in the process to be ISO 3834 accredited.
