GP Construction - Vanderbijlpark

I will not recommend GP construction. We signd a contract with GP construction in March and according to contract our project will be done in 8 weeks we are now in September and the project are not done and Gert le Roux does not answer any phone calls nor emails. He was paid fully for brick, plaster, screed and roof construction but none of those tasks are done. He request further payment but we refused till all work that was paid for were done. He promissed that he will not leave the project half done well its been 2 weeks sins he was last at our property oh sorry I lied he was here today to pick up his last wheel barrow and poles while we were not home like a ***** in the night. My lawyer send him a mail and he did not respond to the mail so my lawyer phoned him were by he respond that his lawyer will contact us. Its been a week and still no response. Today he came while I was not at home and pick up his last wheel barrow that was standing on site. His team have broken mine and he said he is going to leave that one after project are done. Well surprice, project are not done and his promises are out of the gate. We paid him R 60 000 for the installation for the roof after he said that he did not qoute for the whole roof to be replaced so I went and order the trusses with support beams, nails and bolts with fachia boards to be installed. Well the roof are not done, roof trusses are hanging, tiles are broken and facia boards and gutters are not installed, his qoute said roof work finished R 60 000 . It was found after tiles had been lifted that the tiles wear not hooked and that the spacing between the branderings are not correct by another contractor who qouted me another R 14 000 to fixed the roof. He refuse to answer any phone calls, sms's or emails. He promissed that he will not run away and that he will compleet the project well my suspision was right he hunts money that is why he wanted the last money to be paid to him. Almost done but you can see in pictures its not almost done. Brick work were paid to his progress payment request 33,5% to tender price, brick work not done, plaster and screed work was also payed to precentage, roof installation was paid and ceiling work. Every time it was money for the next phase but the first phase was not done money was being keep requested and work not completed. All this nice reviews on the network of GP construction are from family members and friends. When they started with the ceiling in the garage his workers broke the box tiles for the bathroom on confronting him he said he will replace, this was not done. When they removed my ceilings we coverd the floors and cupboards with sail well it didn't help the workers removed it and the floors and cupboards were damaged, the 8 week project turned out to be 7 months and we are not done the 7 day roof replacement turned out to be 2 months and not done. We went trough a building loan and unfortunetly payment was made on progress, Gert le Roux requested on payment and the banks pay out didn't meet, we were always behind because the brick work and plaster work were not done, bank will only pay on completion of ceiling, roof and outstanding work then Gert Le Roux send emails that gutters, doors and painting was exemted from quote. Well that's were the problem started Gert spend all the money and could not compleet the task and run away every thing went well till the roof inspection failed well that is not his problem he did not buy the roof as he did not qoute for the whole roof he only qouted for the build on section. We only found that out after we signed the contract, he did not brake out the old walls nor fixing the screed as he did not qoute for that work. The funny story is he qouted according to plans but he did not want to keep to his contract or his word, his famouse words I WILL NOT RUN AWAY, I will compleet the project and I am a christian you can trust me. Well be aware you can't trust GP construction , you can't trust Gert le Roux. If you are reading this think twise before signing that contract.
