Online short delivery not sorted
To whom it may concern,

I am getting very frustrated as I am not getting my right order and it costs me more money on phone calls to your company than what the products are worth, nevertheless it is about service and you need to know. I have called 4 times altogether and complained and the matter is still not sorted. I placed an online order on the 29th March whereby the earliest delivery date I got was 4th May. I was going to place another order end April and it would have arrived 2 days before my first order, so I cancelled. I understand you had a massive backlog but would presume that any cancellations you may have had that my order would be moved to an earlier delivery date or someone could have contacted me. (I actually had to go to your Woolies store and buy food to survive)
Finally my order arrived and asked if I should check but he said no, if there is a problem call Woolworth. Order o755739892, 2x 20156251 Roasted vegetable Pasta Sauce 375ml were missing – I called your offices and was told you would deliver the next day – I asked the delivery guy to drop it next my car (as I usually leave tins for 72 hours not to have to sanitize) after 72hour I took the packet and found that you delivered 2x 20201227 Roasting Vegetables 500gr ( by the way I did give your lady the right code and description when I called) Since then I called your company twice and was told that they would come the next day to deliver and pick up the veggies and I am still waiting. Woolies also sent me a questionaire if I was happy with the service and I said no and asked someone to contact me which also did not happen.

Hope to receive my goods soon!

Kind regards

Monika

Children clothes up to 36 months
According to government stipulations you are required to sell baby and TODDLER clothing up to the age of 36 months. I have phoned and complained but I get this ridiculous answer that there is none on the floor. Put it on the floor so we can buy winter clothes including pyjamas and onsies for our toddlers of 28 months. Your replies are ridiculous as are your opening hours 9-5. Really? no concessions for what is going on? Some of us still work and are health care providers. Woolworths has been incredibly customer unfriendly in this difficult time.

I am disgusted how Woolworths (Hout Bay) will not allow me to buy a face wash gel which is part of the BEAUTY brand (ONLY A BRAND!!!) - it is still a face wash and DOES NOT form part of the non essential goods. The section where they merchandise the hand wash and creams and Beauty range is cordoned off... where is the logic...move the merchandise to the main area in the store for people to purchase these items. The Managers cannot use their discretion or logic when I approached them and said we are not allowed to sell stuff in "that section" but we need the hand wash and face wash which is merchandised in the wrong section at this time - can someone please send a memo or something out to move these ESSENTIAL items out of the cordoned off section....is it so difficult and certainly not rocket science ..PLEASE!!!

Covid 19
Went to woolworth's queenswood Pretoria. No sanitation clothes. Staff don't wear gloves or masks. Staff huddle together and chat. No social distancing as per covid rules. If clients can adhere to rules why can't the staff.

NO gloves used at the Deli
I went to buy some groceries and a roast chicken at the Colosseum Woolies in Century City ,Cape Town today around 12:30pm. The deli lady proceeded to open the bag with her bare hands and she had NO GLOVES on and put my chicken inside the bag then once again handled my bag with her bare hands. I did not want to make a scene during lunch hour so I went to find the manager and explained the situation. This was 12:40 so you can please refer to the CCTV footage. I requested a new chicken but I asked the manager if the lady could please put gloves on when she handles the food. The manager was kind and soft spoken and went on to speak to the lady voicing my request. The deli lady who I can't name as she had no name badge on proceeded to disagree with the manager infront of me and got quite offended stating she had previously sanitized her hands earlier - definately not when I was in the queue watching. As she was taking offence to what the manager was trying to tell her she rubbed her snotty nose with her open hand and went on to try and get me a new chicken till I had to ask the manager if she saw the girl rub her nose with her bare hand then she wants to pack me a new chicken. The manager nodded in agreement and apologised then I explained that at a time like this if I want her to wear gloves and dish my food that I am about to eat she must please understand and then I explained I had just seen her wipe her nose with her flat hand to only go back to the roast chickens to dish??????? The deli lady got defensive and walked away while I was trying to talk to her then I got so angry I just walked out the shop. The manager came running to the car to apologise but I think at a time like this to experience this attitude and lack of hygiene is MOST UPSETTING. I pay extra for proper service and hygiene at Woolies. Clearly staff training needs to be upped here!!!!

No sanitising wipes to try and clean the handles of your trolleys
In view the world Coronavirus pandemic, I find it horrifying that you do not supply any hygiene wipes to try and sanitise the handles of your trolleys. I have now checked at two stores in my area and did not see any sanitising wipes available. Maybe it would be a good idea to have them at all your stores.

Hair Wools Cake
Omw so we bought a cake last week only to find out that the cake has got wools all around it. It's almost as if we were eating hair out of a cake. This is bad we still have the cake and I'll send woolies an email about this.

Poor service
Went into Woolies Mahikeng Crossings and had to wait there for more 15mins and look at 2 till managers have a conversation with a staff member who was also buying. They had a long conversation until the transaction timed out! Myself and another customer left our purchases and left the store! I'm really angry at the shoddy service.

Low stock levels
Your Castle Walk branch in Pretoria never has enough stock of anything and the shelves are mostly empty on a daily basis. I have complained about it for the past 1 year but nothing has been done about it. Very disappointing...

Why are all ure shops display women underwear example valentine all the red womens underware and never mens underwear. Always our womens underwear to reveal why always expose only the womens body in a time when everybody is talking about women abuse. If u walk into woolies before valintine thats all u see.

Chairs or Stools for tellers
This is regarding your store in Scottburgh, South Coast. The food section is cold which l can understand. The tellers there stand in that cold all day in one spot. Do you realize how unhealthy this is for your employees? Their back, arthritis possibility, circulation etc. Shops such as PnP, Checkers, etc etc sll have chairs or stools. I have complained to the managers regarding this. I am a woollies daily customer and the cost of shopping at your store is plenty to cover costs of these chairs:stools. You really need to look after your employees as it’s more than just a money-making machine. Please as one human being to another. Put yourself in their shoes! Thankyou

Woolworths Long Beach Mall. Service is shocking. One waits in line longer than it takes to shop. Card machine on till 6 has not been working correctly for months. Shelves are empty and not stocked, Butchery is often sold out of meat. Managers excuse staff don't stay we cant find cashiers. Head office don't listen to us. Why is the quality of food so bad at Long Beach Mall yet in Century City and Constancia the staff and quality of food is so much better and shelves are always stocked?
