David Carter, Neurosurgeon - Cape Town

Dr Carter is probably the best medical practitioner I've ever seen. What impressed me most about him was the fact that he listened to me intensely for exactly 30 minutes and only thereafter proceeded with the physical examination! And before touching me, he asked for my permission to do so! This really made me think of all the years that medical practitioners simply assumed that my body was there's to touch ... and that I made the same assumption! David Carter's respect, active listening, patience, professionalism and competence is astounding! I highly recommend this practitioner whose heart is in the right place. P.S. We had lots of fun in hospital as my surname is also Carter ... very confusing for the nursing staff who thought we were somehow related.
