Cashbuild - Head Office - Johannesburg

Sent my son to purchase 5 cement bags at Cashbuild Hebron on Sunday 20/2/2022, he used a debit card to pay, the payment went through but he was told it did not reflect on their side resulting in us having to pay cash. An explanation given was that there were technical problems between ABSA and Cashbuild. He was told the money would be refunded by Monday, but on Monday when my husband visited the store, the store manager said it would be refunded on Wednesday. By Wednesday no refund was made, and there was no communication from Cashbuild Hebron. My husband visited the store on Friday, and was connected to head office which then told him he needs to submit a bank statement to prove that the transaction went through. The bank statement was then submitted on Saturday 26/2/2022. Upon submission, We made it clear to the store manager that we needed our money back by Monday because it was now 8 days and we were in need of that money to cover other neccessities. We requested that he motivates the request and that he inform the Head Office that if the refund isn't done he seeks permission to refund us with cash from the till. When he called us on Monday 28/2/2022, he informed us that according to the company policy, our bank will have to make a request to Nedbank which is Cashbuild's bank before a refund can be made...and that can be on Friday. He told us if we're not satisfied we should lodge a complaint with Cashbuild through Customer Care as there was nothing he could do. We went to the store(28/2/2022) and still we hit a brick wall. We were 1. denied a phone to call the customer service; 2. denied a phone or/and contact numbers for the company's accountant - all this was funny because on Friday 25/2 my husband was given a phone to speak to a certain guy at head office but now in 72hrs the company policy had changed; 3. denied with the accountant's email address; 4. denied with a refund from the cash till; 5. denied an option of getting goods to the value of the money we were owed by Cashbuild. All these requests were denied by the Store manager because "it was against the company policy". He could not commit as to when we should expect our refund.
The attitude, leaves us with the conclusion that Cashbuild doesn't care for its customers. WE ONLY WANT OUR MONEY, AND WE CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER.

So I walked into the store hopping i will get the best service as it was my first time buying at cash build I have only been saving money on their card and I was so excited that atleast am achieving my goal.

But then the lady who was assisting me made me to even regret doing business with Cash build. (Sanele Zwane) she just decided to cash up while assisting me she then told me that she need to Arm the office before 4 and only to find out that she knew that there will be a load shedding at 4,instead of her explaining to us that she won't be able assist us," with an attitude" she said to us there's nothing she can do as even head office knows that she needs to Arm the cash office we should have came early because yena she need to knock out atleast 15:55.
Am not happy at all...
If what she told me it's true you guyz must really change your system. You can't leave the customer on the till and go do the cash up. NO I refuse

Dear all trust all is well and safe, I need to be clear of free delivery costs for a geyser we bought at Dawn Park, we were told it will take 2 days for delivery for FREE, on the pamflet and outside its free within 5km. Outside I have observed money exchange between staff and delivery trucks not part of the group, not sure what the connection is, we had to pay the delivery driver not of the group R200.

I bought a door in a months time it looked like cardboard,and when I go to complain the tell me about the door needed to be treated before being installed coz of indirect weather

I purchased floor tiles and 1 box was different. Some of the boxes contained 8 tiles instead of 9. Many was also damaged. I tried to explain this to the manager who did not understand. Apparently on the back of till slip, it states goods are sold voetstoets. They gave me 9 tiles only to compensate my problem. Just not happy. Next time i will shop elsewhere.

I bought 10 pallets of bricks at Botshabelo cashbuild reahola complex,I wasn't at home when they deliver those bricks so when I arrive and count them there was only 9 pallets, I went to the shop to find out what happened and the manager was so helpful he went to count the bricks at my house and replaced them without any trouble, thank you so much for a good service cashbuild botshabelo reahola complex.

Good day, we have an account with Cashbuild Rustenburg that we have paying money into. To our surprise a big company like Cashbuild is unable to trace the R5000 that we have paid into the account. We have been following up with the Cashbuild Rustenburg Store from last year March 2020 and to date the query has not been resolve.

Please assist in referring us to the relevant person who will be able to assist as this has an impact on the project progress.

I received terrible service from cashbuild welkom industrial, they promised to deliver my goods within 2 working days only to find out that they don't even have stock. To top it all of lady by the name of Yvonne Phoofolo was very rude and unprofessional when I came to enquire.

I visited cashbuild Amalinda store around January when iwas buying material to musina as iam a foreigner idont want to lie the service was good the young lady called Abongile who was helping me was very professional she told me it's her first time to do transfere as she is the learner there so she ask me to be patient with her as the was no one wants to do this transfere she was quick and update me with everything iam very grateful it is rare to us foreigners to get such servise and it's difficult to buy material for our homes while u in SA thank you so much cash build Amalinda as I'm not done building iam going there again hope to experience the same service thank you

I went to do shopping at R55 mall olievenhoutbosch and the store ddnt meet my requirements so I requested a refund, it's been two weeks now waiting for my money

Cashbuild greenstone is a real pain to deal with. They are not honest with customers, no one ever knows whats going on. No one calls the customers back. Why was I not told how long a direct drop from the yard takes. I aamt a refund and a call from the complaints manager.

Went to support the new branch at Trade route mall yesterday. Afterall they advertise free delivery locally. I am two streets away from them, but still got charged R200 for delivery.

The entrance idea was a total fail. If a car is exiting the premises, you can not enter because of the way the pavement was build.

I was at cash build for more than 3 hours just for transfer, their computers are very old, they need to be rebooted every 10minutes. Please help that cashbuild because you are loosing lot of people.
