B3 is an Authorised Financial Services Provider. The Batho Batsho Bakopane (B3) was established by inspired and resourceful Business professionals in June 1991 as a broad insurance broking business. It is fully owned and managed by black entrepreneurs. The end of the eighties saw the marketing of funeral policies taking a less prominent role in the life assurance industry, save for the provision of such products through group schemes and no longer as individual family policies.

B3 adjusted its marketing strategy accordingly and the rise of a new force in the marketing of funeral policies began. Entry into the funeral undertaking business became a natural and logical move after the success of the funeral assurance business.

The worst company?
If you are reading this and are considering taking up a policy with B3, just know you will be going into business with a bunch of heartless, money thirsty crooks. About 5 years ago when we were looking around for policies, we met a B3 consultant who helped us get a policy, we did everything and he gave us our policy reference to which we need to refer when making payments( I was working outside the country couldn't make a debit order) we made payments for over 2 years until we realized it lapsed with no sms, email, call nothing.. To let us know. Found (when I wanted to update information on the policy) out the consultant had given us a wrong reference and we were infact paying someone else's premium, they claimed they couldn't do anything even when they could see the payments reflecting on their system with that reference, with proof of payment from our side????, foolish me I thought because I had already lost alot of money I might as well continue with the company, I updated a beneficiary since they couldn't pay out a claim because "policy had lapsed" and unfortunately the person I replaced with died in the 5th month of the waiting period, they didn't even bother to consider the fact that I've had the policy with them for years. I didn't bury both my brother and father while paying monthly premiums for years, and now like its not enough they have ridiculously increased their premiums with 30 to 50% and subsequently decreased their cover....ridiculous. And now I am deciding on getting a policy with a reputable, long standing company and accepting that I have just thrown over R20 000 in the drain. So unless you are in the business of donating your hard earned cash to ruthless companies ... Move on to something else not B3.

Iam so disappointed the way B3 treats us,I have 2 policies with you one it has 16yrs the other one 5yrs,last year I got messages that's says my first police premium went up without discussing it with me and I ddnt have a say to voice my opinions,I was paying 165 now m paying 275,now m getting another sms saying my second policy it goes up by 35% or 50% which still they don't even give me a choices,I ddnt sign for this,i can not pay funeral polices like m paying my house insurance this is daylight robbery B3 it's a scam,you guys you playing with people...

Unreliable and Unprofessional
My mother passed on in June 2021 as the policy holder & an additional member who was my father also passed a month after her

To my surprise B3 debit order was still active even after submission of the cancelation forms

Let alone B3 failure to take responsibility for paying the claim of my late mother to date, it's being 7 months now

After being send back & forth for 3 months,they finally made a payout for my late father

Whenever i call, there is no one answering & I have send emails to the lady who was following up on my case & she is also not responding to my emails

I urge our people to do funeral policy plans with service providers that will be there for you in times of need & distress

Very very bad service so disappointed
B3 has disappointed me very badly not to mention their poor service they dont even answer their calls you can even wait for a hour without any success I made a claim in November till to this date they haven't paid me...I had to move my husband when I found out that they increase the premiums and decrease the cover amount...They told me that I had to pay R******** upfront in order to release my husband's body which I did...Then when I submitted all the necessary documents for my cashback they never came back to me even their consultants at their branch are so rude...All I want is my cashback am never using their services ever again

Bad service
I'm so disappointed with the service received from this, my mom she's been paying for this premium for over 9 years, today she's been told that every thing will start a fresh so kindly advise what happened to the funds paid for 9years without claiming anything? I think we really made a bad choice for choosing or trusting this B3

Bad service
I am very disappointed with the service we are getting from this company now i took a policy over 7 years ago with you and agreed with the person who was helping that my premiuim will stay the same until i die, been paying my premium without fail all these years R245. But you guys just decided that you are going to charge me more today January 2022 and never bothered to tell me why you now increasing the premium all of sudden, i have never claimed from you all these years and cannot accept that you just going to incerase the premium just like that, i tried to call your office with no luck. i will have to cancel the policy if you dont call me and clarify this nonsense because if you increase my premium i expect you to increase the cover amount as well but you need to inform me still.

Appalling Service
I wish I had read the reviews before joining B3, worst mistake of my life. I have submitted a claim last week and it is still haven't been paid to this day. I had to borrow money from people to bury my grandmother because no one is answering calls at B3 and the last person that I spoke to last week told me that my claim has been approved and they are waiting for African Annuity Life. I am just so disgusted

Poor service
Poor service and no respect for the people'dignity. Consider your customer and support them. You are running a business but be considerate of the reputation of your company. I would never ever consider using your services. You humuliated my family for just alert that the money was transferred even though the family has history being your customers. You don't care about your customers.

Dissapointment &Frustration
It is with great sadness and regret Joining the B3 team. The pain of burrying my mother with such poverty yet I havd a policy that has been debiting my account and sometimes increasing the policy without my concern. I have submitted the claim 2weeks ago till todate my claim hasnt been paid in. I want to know if u have under writters of ur paying out of ur pockets. I am going crazy I just want to throw up with ur poor services. I am actually thinking of cancelling my policy with B3 I cannot begin to explin the pain in my heart for lying and manipulating us.You promised 48hrs and now? Is this a scam or what?

I am so disappointed with the B3 service because we claimed on the 22nd of April and to date the claim was not paid, when they sell their products they promise heaven and earth and now they cant deliver. I've holding a phone for more than 20 munities with no response. can you please pay what you promised us

I am not sure if they give the best service to the celebrities only and not to the ordinary citizens of this country. I submitted a claim on the 6th April 2021 and i have not received a payment even today (30th April 2021). I keep on calling the office and the reception keeps on transferring my call to claims dept which never answer the calls. There is no communication or whatsoever to indicate why there is a delay. I have sent emails to enquire about this and did not receive any response from B3. I am so frustrated with B3 and regret joining it.

Poor Service
Good Day.

I am so disappointed with the kind of service we are receiving from B3 staff. They pick up a phone and talk to other people. Right now I am frustrated because I have submitted a claim and I am being told that B3 has a lots of claims to pay. When I took the policy I was told B3 pays within 48 hours. All of us are affected by the Pandemic, I mean why don't you get extra hands to assist in processing / paying the claims. This is so unprofessional and I think it is only fair that when you finally decide to pay our money, please do so with interest on top from the day you were supposed to have paid me. Failure to do so, the law will take it's course.

B3 is a disappointment as on their claim form they don't mention all the documents needed. And they wait for a claimant to ask why we are not paid thats when they tell you about missing documents. I had to wait for the whole month, until i get that paper. Their service is poor, communication is a mess. They don't return calls or emails. The guy called Phineus works in claim department, he will never return your emails or calls. Receptionist will take your details 100 time with no help from relevant person.

Increasing with lot of money
I'm not happy with B3 for increasing my policy with R250 this is not on I'm very disappointed with how you run your business. New client has to pay their premium not me as a old client be affected because insurance hs made lot of payout and whatsoever even me I'm affected with this pandemic.

They did that to all their customers,B3 is no longer the same and I think they are going through financial crisis hence they do not even pay out claims,they do not even answer calls anymore.the only thing is to take them to court or expose them on social media as customers.
