No Feedback, No Guidance just nothing.

We visited the store on the 27th of June. Place order online on 27th June 2020. We decided to book them online afterwards as we thought the price was good.We received this message on 29th June 2020 "After carefully reviewing your order we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 4 RYOBI CLD-180 18V LI-ION DRILL DRIVER, due to significant item shortages as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. Paid through online eft on the site. Now it shows cancelled. Send several mails and lots of calls but the consultants said it will be escalated. No response what so ever. I asked for a refund/even a voucher no reply. They say they will call back but this also does not happen.

We even went as far as contacting Makro Alberton to find out if they have the stock that Tshepo apparently requested from Alberton to find out that this never happened. It took Makro Alberton 5 minutes to respond to us saying that they also out of stock and that the stock they have is currently returns and faulty.

It saddens me that the new excuse for everything that goes wrong is COVID outbreak and not incompetent staff. We are regular purchasers from your store and the level of customer service has dropped tremendously in store and online.
I use to THINK the staff is always helpful and its the best place to shop.
I would rather drive the extra mile the to visit this store again.

We all in a stressful environment its the ones that carry on that will come out stronger in the end. Just saying.

Place order on 7 July 2020. Paid through online eft on the site. For 14 days it shows await payment. Now it shows cancelled. Send several mails and lots of call but you the consultants say is wil escalate. No reaponse whatso ever. I aske for a refund no reply. Will call back but this also does not happen. Pathetic
used item delivered even when new purchased
I ordered 2 inverters on line.
2 inverters arrived but one had the wires connected and there is another cable missing, you can see where it has been connected to a battery. It is a used item or Demo.
I contacted the on line number and I was given a reference, I was called on Saturday to say a new item would be delivered on Monday or Tuesday, nothing arrived. I called the number that I received the call from and the person who had called me answered and he said he cant help and gave me another number.
I have been chasing this every day and I am frustrated to death. I spoke to Cliff and he has promised all sorts of things but every time I speak to anyone the story changes. I tried to call Strubens Valley and I was treated so poorly by the receptionist, as usual the branch manager was not there, the service is appalling.
I want my inverter and I will never buy anything on line from Makro ever again, this service is appalling.
Six weeks after buying online from Makro, I am still waiting for a refund for two thirds of my order, that was cancelled by Makro.

I bought items from Makro Online on 31/05/2020. On 05/06/2020 I was advised that one of the items were cancelled. This was two thirds of my total order. I sent emails and made phone calls regarding the refund and only on 26/06/2020, I received an email from your Head Office Finance department requesting the proof of payment, which I do not understand, and my banking details. I sent this on 27/06/2020 and followed up on 02/07/2020.

Today, 13/07/2020, I am still waiting for the refund.

Upon phoning the Head Office, on 011 797 0000, the phone was only answered after my third attempt. I held the line for the Finance Department for five minutes, after which I was cut off. NINE attempts later, between 11h39 and 11h49 and the phone has still not been answered yet!

I'm in Johannesburg, place a large online order and paid for it.
The order is given to a Makro Store in another province. The apparent confusion cam ein because of teh street address which is the same name as another province.
Surely you should have checked the address properly before assigning the order.
Now i keep getting messages of items being removed from my order.

There seems to be noway to contact anyone at Makro because the numbers just ring without answer.
No Delivery after 5 weeks
Good day, I made an online purchase, MAK2549030 5 weeks ago, I am still waiting for ny delivery. When I call they only say the order is still waiting to be picked up by the courier and it is in the warehouse if Bloemfontein. This order was urgent as it included s desk chair for my son, who is spending alot of time infont of his computer with schoolwork due to lockdown.
Please help!!
The worst online platform ever. There is nobody manning the online number 0860600999 and nobody attending to my mail.
I ordered (MAK2580762)on 4 June 2020. Hoover Hand Vacuum Cleaner and 2 x LUMO SOLAR LED LANTERN (06009705266333)
BUT only ONE LUMO SOLAR LANTERN was delivered.

15 days after I paid Ive been told no stock
I used to really like shopping online with Makro. But after this and the horrible call I got yesterday telling me that I simply have to wait or I can take a damaged lawnmower has really changed my mind about shopping here. I would rather cut my grass, and weeds one by one with a nail clipper than shop with Makro again.
Hisense Fridge
I'm very dissapointed with the service that i'm getting from Makro, I bought a hisense fridge last year Nov online and was delivered Dec, it gave me problems and I immediately went to the store to report it but unfortunately no one is willing to help me, when i make a follow up they always promise that the technician will call me back but no one calls me, i'm now stuck with the fridge that doesn't help me whereas i thought i'm buying a new fridge. can't advice somebody to buy hisense brand.

I am also very disappointed in Makro Sinoville Pretoria. When I went to claim repairs during a guarantee period I found the Samsung I bought from them was not even on their books. The end result I have to pay for repairs.
Terrible terrible service of Makro
Bought a Swan 2.5l Air Fryer on 18/12/2019 online from Makro Amanzimtoti but has never received delivery or got any service or replies of my 50 emails I’ve sent them. I had to send the item back to Makro and still waiting for a reply or a refund. I have asked for a refund but nothing is happening nor are they responding to my emails. Makro is the worst to order stuff online as you don’t get any service or delivery from them. What can be done about this? Maybe the boss or owner can sort out my situation? Please help!!!!!!!
Order not received
I purchased a item via online shoping on the 21 Dec. Order shows through tracking that it is delivered but I have not yet received anything yet. I tried calling but was placed on hold for over 20min. Makro South Africa On line. I bought an item online on the 29th of November to collect at Amanzitoti MAKRO. I have got an SMS the same afternoon to collectct at Amanzitoti. I rocked up there on Saturday the 30t of November. The collection staff checked the order MAK********** andtold me me i has been delivered to Cornubia MAKRO. Cornuia is (90 km return from my residence. Iwas promised by the staff that it will get delivered to my residence with no cost to me. I was content and went away. until wedesday the 4th of December there was no delivery, I phoned makro on line from and she said that i will be sortd out. . 5th of dec. I spoke to Lerato She gave me a ref. no.423584. no action andphoned Friday the 6th I spoke to Charmaine, same response . I phoned twice on Saturday. Same esponse. They gave Curnubia Contact no. I phoned spke to te receptionist and i was put on hold and after about 10 minutes the call was cut. I contacted them on the 9th at 11:33 and spoke to Phindile and she said that Analisa will get back to me but she did not. on the 10th i spoke to Nadia at 12:50 she she said she will follo up. no feedback again. on the 11th i phone again at 11:46 after 10 min. the call was cut. I called again the same day the 11th and spoke to Mbali call cut off again. i phoned again at 12:00 and spoke to Lindi she said tht her manager is contacting the store . i asked for the manager's name she said it was Lucy and she will contct me. I requested for the Lucy's surname Lindi refused to give it to me. She said that Lucy will contact me she never did. Today is the 12th and no response. it is almost 2 weeks. What do i do now?

Incompetence of the service
I bought two fridges and a tv on the 30th of November at Makro Sliver Lakes, only yesterday did i receive a call from the store telling me that they don’t have one items I purchased but on the day of purchase everything was in store, mind you i waited close to 2weeks without any form of communication from them so now have to wait again for another two weeks??.
The person whom I spoke with over the phone said they’d get back to me on the matter till today I’m still waiting for their phone call, I am highly disappointed by the incompetent service.
