BANKING DETAILS - NO INVOICE - Cash Converters Northgate SUCKS! Never again will I set foot in any Cash Converters - all because of Northgate Branch. TWICE BITTEN TWICE SHY. Never going to be a 3rd time!!!! The 1st experience nearly went pear-shaped but due to crisis management & complaint to the store manageress, I bought the bed. A couple of days ago I decided to have look in the store & fell in love with a 2nd hand L-shaped corner blue lounge suite R4,999. Innocent assisted. After literally begging, the store manager heard the conversation & she committed to placing a "reserved" sign on the suite. The deal was to sell my lounge suite to cash converters & that I pay in the difference once a suitable price negotiated. Innocent & the buyer came to my residence morning of 29/10/2019 (an hour later than scheduled). I had to phone to find out whether he was still to arrive, needless to say I had sacrificed time off work & to make up those work hours. Innocent & buyer arrived - no apologies. I was speechless because I entertained their sales pitch. I work for a large corporate in sales so I know how tough & volatile the sales industry is as well as the battle to survive in this economy. The attitude of Innocent & his "crony" - quote by Innocent: "he is well experienced & knows his prices". I didn't even bother to remember the "crony's" name - I was totally unimpressed by his demeanour. They thought I was BEGGING for Cash Converters business. They didn't see the signs. A very uncompetitive price was labelled by, quote "my very old lounge suite not really in good condition". Yet Innocent & manageress agreed from the photos that it was very marketable and in good condition. Photos didn't lie. But yet the "crony" was arrogant & made it seem that my furniture was in distaste & beat me right down in price leveraging the fact that the "profit the shop has to make in mark-up". I understand all of that jargon!!! "Crony" treated me as an imbecile & I resent that attitude. Hence me writing this review at 3:00am! I had to followup with Innocent. I ran around ensuring I got the cash together & literally BEGGED Innocent to email me an invoice to also reflect the price of my lounge suite. At the same time I was also communicating with the manageress hoping to get some sort of committment. That I did....banking details were emailed - NO INVOICE!!! Innocent had promised to email during the business day. COB came & invoice. OH YES, I forgot to add that Innocent kept on reminding me that another customer was interested in the same lounge suite. Couldn't he get it that I was committed to the sale?. Actions speak louder than words Innocent. I got the impression that Innocent did not want to sell it to me, but to rather sell it to another. The sale was there in his face. The funds was available & what did Cash Converters Northgate do? Back-lashed me through my face & teeth. Not interested in my business. All throughout communications, I maintained professionalism and courtesy. Innocent was brazen enough to tell me over the phone "my manageress is shouting at me"! Geez guys, you are absolutely a laugh a second. Your advert quotes "high service standards" foot!!!! If I were to treat my customers the way you treat yours, I would have been fired years ago. STEP UP YOUR GAME PLAN CASH CONVERTERS NORTHGATE snooze you lose & you lose profits and stakeholders. Take your jobs and customers more seriously. Don't hood-winkle us. TO LATE TO BAD. I am glad I am out of this deal. Lesson number 1: don't take your customers for granted & think that you have satisfied them. The sun set on NO SALE - NO CLOSURE. Never let that happen. DQ
phones not charging
I bought a hi-sense phone at cash crusaders in Albertina Sisulu in Jhb cbd to my surprise the phone battery when charged stays at 100% for 2 minutes then it keeps on dropping without me touching it then at 44% it switches itself off I'm really disappointed I bought a phone because I needed it because mine was stolen but for them to be selling phones that are not working then when you complain u r told that they can't assist you that's not the good service
Re: Bad after service
Good day
We have bought an Industrial Drill machine from the branch in Ferndale Shopping Centre on the 27/09/2019, We have travel and phone all around JHB to get the tools(drill bits) to use the drill machine, but we could not find any. I phone the sales person Thulani on Wednesday 02/10/2019 to tell him that we are not able to use this machine as we cannot get any parts to use it, he request me to bring the machine back for full refund, when we took the machine back on Friday 04/10/2019 the manager (Jordan) told us that he can only buy the machine back from us for R200 less what we paid for the machine. I feel this is very bad after sale service.
I have handed my Stunning Polk Audio Speakers to Grant and Pearl at the Ottery Cash Converters

Grant Personally checked in my speakers and I collected them on Saturday

Look at the condition they returned them to me on Saturday

Pearl (Owner) does not want to take responsibility for her negligent staff
Cash Converters in Northgate is the shittiest store ever.
It’s been 2months if not 3 trying to sell my stuff.1st time they took my details and said they will call which they never did.A month later I went again they took down my details and a lady called Nentsi called me and said the guys will come to my house of which they never did till this day. 2months later lady week I went again spoke to the owner who told me she can’t help me she will send people the next weekend. It’s the next weekend no call or what so ever. I live a walk away from the store. What a shitty service

My daughter in law has an account with Cash Converters Hill fox
On the 13 April we took three items back for cash
On the 27 April she paid for a previous account where Tumi according to her, Tumi advised her to pay the extension on the items that was brought in on the 13 April he turned the screen to her and showed her those items are also in arrears, she paid an amount of R447.00 not to loose the items
Tumi realized he made a mistake after she paid and advised her he cannot reverse it else he will be short when he cashes up.after a long dispute , She asked to see the Manager, he told her there is nothing the manager can do and will not reverse it. Upset my daughter-in-law left the store.
She demanded this amount from me which I gave to her as she doesn’t want to understand , I told her how can she pay to an 10 day extension for something that is 16 days within its due date
She said go to Tumi he is the one that did not realize the items were paid collected , returned two weeks later and you cannot speak to him , he knows he made a mistake
But doesn’t know how to fix it as he is not allowed to refund a person from the cash till even if it was his mistake
On the 1st May I went there to speak to Tumi and I saw what my daughter-in-law means when she says he has a one track mind knows he made a mistake but to afraid to admit, told me the same what he told her.
Therefore I called him a FOOL which he react to quickly , I told him again yes he is a fool he has a computer in front of him showed her the bill but did not look at the DATE
When I collect the three items I will pay less the R477 00 never mind my interest for paying for items that was still well within its due date
Tumi also refused to call the Manager , I told him I will go and see my lawyer , he told me to do that. I told him yes at your cost
I left went back to ask for the email address ask him to write it on the paper, he pointed to a portion on the paper I had in my hand told me there, I left now I see there is no email address on the paper
Had to search for the email address
Please advise so I know what to do I will only pay the difference minus the R447. 00 collect these items on Friday.

Kind regards

Immature staff, Incompetent.
I took my Huawei P8lite to Ottery branch for a buy-back. The very young lady (white) gave me a price which she had to ask her fellow staff members first, which I agreed upon. Then she was typing on my phone for several minutes, leaving me waiting to fill in the necessary forms. At last she says to me I must sign out of my Huawei ID. I was puzzled because I had Nevr registered or signed INTo any Huawei Cloud ID. She showed me a page on my phone which requested my password for a Huawei ID. I proceeded to type in the password which i use for my gmail account but it was obviously rejected as 'incorrect password' each time. The more I told her that I do not have a Huawei Cloud ID and have never registered for one ever, I didnt even know a Huawei cloud ID exists, the more she says with a blank sour face that I must remove my Huawei ID or they cannot proceed with the buy-back transaction. I left the store with my phone. When I got home i Googled Huawei cloud ID and filled in my email address and my phone number alternatively, to which Huawei responded that this email or phone number DOES NOT EXIST on the Cloud system. I know this. But that stupid girl wasted an hour of my time telling me to log out of a Huawei ID which i never had..I am so pissed off. They need to put mature, experienced staff by their front counters and not young kids who think they are clever and waste one's time like that. Really!!!!

Cash Converters Southern Africa’s business model is based on the principle that they provide consumers with access to cash – offering them a number of different products and services that suit their personal and financial circumstances depending on their needs at the time.

With more than 67 stores across Southern Africa and plans to open more stores annually, Cash Converters is looking to recruit determined, motivated, passionate Franchisees to help the company reach its ambitious targets.
A Cash Converters store is divided into two distinct areas: retailing and financial services.

The retail area of the store specialises in the selling of quality second-hand household goods. These goods are sold at roughly half the price your customer would expect to pay for them in a new retail environment. They are also sold with a six month guarantee.

With the advent of the National Credit Act in 2007, Cash Converters South Africa introduced financial services into the business model. The first of which is a Cash Advance. This is secured money lending, against the customers goods. In 2009 the brand introduced the first of its unsecured money lending products, a PayDay Advance. This is a one month loan, repayable by the customer on his next pay day. We have since introduced the 1 | 2 | 3 loan and additional money lending products, that support the philosophy of access to cash, will be introduced in due course. These loans provide our customers with access to cash.

At Cash Converters your work will be rewarding both financially and personally and is a life changing adventure.
