SMART CARD ID
Today I visited home affairs Queenstown branch for 10H00-11H00 appointment for ID application I did on BABS for my late cousins son whom I am a guardian to. I am thankful for the service I got from the lady security at the door to the lady that processed the application at counter 4. Even the time I spent inside I only spent 30min with whole process It could have been less if electricity did not cut off. I honestly didn't expect it to be so quick. Hoping it will continue as such. Thank you to the new system.

Greatest Service ever
I'd like to share my greatest of experience I've been exposed to by Khathu & Rendani at your Alexandra Home Affairs office.

Rendani in particular was so patient with all the complaining clients, he politely answered all their questions and directed them to the correct information Desks. I've never seen any government employees really going out of their ways to ensure clients are assisted the way Rendani and his Staff did. Please promote him and Khathu or give them a well deserved incentives.

Excellent service
I am writing to express my appreciation for the excellent customer service which we had received from your branch on my last visit to your office. The staff was warm and accommodating, and they were helpful to us especially the supervisor Claudette Naidoo.

I hope that this is the kind of service that will be present in your branch permanently as this is what the customers want to have.

Horrible Service!!!
Spent 4 hours in the queue outside. Got in and met the most rude and un helpful people I have ever seen in my life. Everything inside is an absolute mess. I don't know why they are open for business if you wait for that long and still walk out unsatisfied. I cannot believe that technology has advanced so much and yet the service is absolutely horrible to say the least.

Extremely upset and angry that this is the type of country we live in and that this is the kind of service we receive !!!

Bad service
I sat at the Edenvale office from 12:00, the automatic queuing system was flawed, people who came in around 15:00 completed their applications before those who came in earlier. No one to attend to queries. Staff shouts at people. Most counters did not have attendants. 3 hours later still not served

FANTASTIC Experience
Edenvale Home Affairs was such an awesome experience - ladies and gents you were GREAT!! Keep up the fantastic work - applied for all 4 of our passports and hubby's new ID card - took all in all 2.5 hours - it was sooo organised with the system they have in place and a pleasant experience indeed. Thanks to all!!

Incompetent staff
The landline phone is never answered, what's the point of having one in the office if no one bothers to pick it up.
Couldn't get assisted to booking an appointment with marriage officer since system was of line, after I had to drive there to physically book because the phone is not functional.I asked one of them to take my details and atleast update me once system is back online so I can come back, was told that it is not possible to that, its a lot of work and responsibility which he wont do.
I could not believe the response.

Brilliant service !
Went to Edenvale home affairs this afternoon to apply for urgent passport renewal as I need to travel for work. I was so taken aback by the friendly helpful staff and efficient service. You all are amazing - service with a smile. Just hope I get my passport in time to travel. Keep up the brilliant work .you are what we need in SA.
