PATHWAYS RESIDENCE - Pretoria

Consequently a house, with a safe and supported semi-independent living arrangement, has become a great need! At present there are seven young adults who are ready and excited to leave the nest. The house will be run by a caregiver, who will be there to facilitate the household. The young adults will cook and clean for themselves, except for those who are not capable to do so and support workers will provide the special care that is needed. We envisage a house with a minimum of eight rooms; one for each of the young adults and one for the caregiver. We are very grateful to have recently been donated a one hectare (2.2 acre) piece of land. This will enable us to build a house which will accommodate the various special needs of the Young Adults. to be transported to and from work, a suitable vehicle is required in the form of a mini-bus or kombi as well as one or two used wheelchairs.
