LOVISA CONCRETE PRODUCTS - Boksburg

Matteo Lovisa founded the original company in Tilburg, Holland in 1934. In 1935 his two brothers, Francesco and Giuseppe, joined him forming “Lovisa Brothers”. Before the outbreak of the Second World War, the three brothers left Holland, settled in South Africa, and started businesses in Boksburg, Bloemfontein and Durban. Matteo Lovisa settled in Boksburg and in 1952 was joined by his son, Constante forming “M.Lovisa and Son”. That company is currently known as “Lovisa Concrete Products” and has been situated on the current site for well over 50 years. Lovisa Concrete Products originally manufactured concrete and reconstituted marble for the building industry.
