UMNENGE LODGE - Gansbaai

The lodge serves as a perfect launch pad to go shark cage diving and whale watching - both of which are within a few kilometers, as well as the many other activities in the area such as exploring the natural caves, fishing, diving, horse riding and hiking. We can arrange any of these activities for you whether you stay with us or not - just ask us and we'll take care of it. "Umnenge" is a Xhosa expression meaning 'whale in the bay'and refers to the Southern Right Whale which can be seen clearly from Umnenge Lodge frolicking in the waters of Walker Bay from July to December each year.
