The secret of his success lay in the simplicity of his relationships, and in the confidence he placed in his followers. He had a special place in his heart for the poor and the disadvantaged. At his death he left behind 280 Brothers and 48 schools with thousands of students. Today St David's shares in the rich legacy of St Marcellin. It is one of hundreds of Marist schools, youth institutions and universities around the world that strive to carry on his work.
