The estate has several lakes, good bird watching, wine tastings, plus wine walks. For the really active there are mountain bike trials, horse riding, world-renowned golf courses, mountain passes to hike or strolls through historical winelands towns & villages full of traditional Cape architecture. The beautiful mountain and valley scenery around Kidger Lodge changes dramatically with the seasons. This is because our guest house is right in the middle of Diemersfontein Wine Estate. The vineyards surrounding us change from neatly pruned in winter, to ripe with fruit come summer and ready for picking in February.
