KLEIN PARADIJS - Gansbaai

The rambling guesthouse, which is nestled among old milkwood trees has five spacious en-suite rooms and generous public areas that are home to an eclectic collection of antiques, arts and crafts. A large garden with indigenous plants surrounds the house. Comfortable wooden lawn chairs invite guests to lounge around the salt-water pool with its grassy island in the middle or watch nature go about its business from the deck on the dam near the house, for example, while enjoying a well-deserved sun-downer. Two spacious lounges and a reading nook (with book exchange) offer guests a place to reflect on their travels. Extensive reading matter for nature lovers in particular is available. The shady terrace and intimate braai (barbecue) area are popular places for exchanging travel experiences.

In the evenings guests are regaled with a delicious table d'hôte meal prepared by the resident chef. The meals at Klein Paradijs are prepared with fresh, seasonal produce most of which is locally sourced. The honest approach in food preparation brings out the best in the carefully selected ingredients. Klein Paradijs is fully licensed. The extensive wine list features Cape wines for most tastes and pockets, ranging from serious red vintages to easy-drinking white wines. After a restful night's sleep in the peaceful country setting, guests will wake up to a continental or cooked breakfast prepared especially for them. Fortified and rested, they will be ready to explore the area or set out on the next leg of their journey. Under the high thatched roof, the five tastefully decorated guest rooms promise a restful stay. All the rooms have a mini bar fridge, CD player and radio-alarm, hair dryer, mini safe and under-floor heating. Telephone, fax and wireless internet facilities as well as a laundry service are available. The two Superior rooms have en-suite toilet and bath and separate shower. They also have their own balcony.
