The vision of the company is to be a SA focused BEE-controlled and BEE-managed Mining Exploration, Development, and Investment Company that will eventually challenge the very largest South African mining houses in its diversity and wealth-creation. Sephaku Holdings Ltd came into existence on 11 May 2005, and shortly thereafter on the 1st of June 2005, the Group became Black-owned and has retained that status ever since. Apart from its wealth of prospecting rights, this status is what sets Sephaku apart from other mining and exploration companies. Right from the start of the Group it was conceptualized that it was to be a fully-accredited, Black-owned mineral development and investment company, and that it would become the preferred BEE partner to other mining companies
