LETAMO GAME FARM

Letamo Game Farm is a unique area in Gauteng and comprises of a few habitats such as Savannah, Bushveld, Acacia forest, Natural Wetlands, Koppies, Riverine habitat, Rocky outcrops and Dams. This allows a variety of animal species to exist such as Kudu, hippo, Waterbuck, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest, Blesbuck, Duiker, Eland, Impala, Red Hartebeest, Springbuck, Steenbuck, Waterbuck, Zebra, Ostrich, Jackal, Caracal, Brown Hyena, Honeybadger, Cape Fox, Genets, Aardwolf, Bushbaby, Porcupine, Tortoises, Mongooses and more. Total game consists of between 300 and 400 head of game. Bird life is abundant and includes various species such as Owls, Hawks, Eagles, Fish Eagle, Cormorants, Geese, duck, Kingfishers, Bee Eaters to name a few. no dangerous predators on Letamo Game Farm and this allows free movement of homeowners to mountain bike, walk, and enjoy the environment. Two well stocked large dams and several smaller ones can be found on the property. Two small rivers flow through the property. Recreation facilities in the immediate area include, Sterkfontein caves, Wonder Caves, Cave adventures, Various game farms and nature reserves, Lion and Rhino Park, Hartebeespoort dam (+-40km), Magaliesberg (+-20km), various country restaurants and lodges.
