I signed up with a gentleman by the name Lets at the Centurion gate branch earlier this month. I would be starting my gym beginning of August. Yesterday I received a phone call from a gentleman by the name Inus from Hennops branch. He was telling me that I needed to cancel my first membership and bring my ID and sign up properly with him so that all my things can run smoothly. I had imeagined the two gentlemen work together, but something about the word "cancel" just didn't sit well with me. I contacted Lets, the gentleman I signed up with initially. And told him I have been approached by his colleague who insisted I come sign up with him instead. He mentioned how he knew nothing about it and I realized that Inus was doing an unethical and very unprofessional move. Inus then got his manager JP to call me. And JP insisted I explain the situation, but I was already so disappointed with the way things were happening. I explained to JP that I will not be signing up with Hennops, because I am already signed up with Gateway which I was told has an understanding for us to exercise at hennops during the Gateway renovations. But JP did not sound please with me and the words at the end of the phone call was that my contract would be cancelled and I go to a different gym either than planet fitness. I am so saddened by this because I was looking forward to the ladies only section which I got to enjoy for two days, but because of employees trying to pouch clients, Planet fitness is technically saying they do not want me to gym with them and I remain at a loss.
