While most of our active ingredients are researched and developed in Germany and France, locally our products are tested again to ensure that the products are adapted to our specific South African climatic conditions. This again ensures product effectiveness for the purpose for which they are recommended in our local situation. Bayer Environmental Science (BES) is organised in two business units with different end customers: Professional and Consumer business units. In each business unit the customers, opinion leaders and distribution channels are specific and distinct. BES has recently launched a Home Pest Control range for the consumer. This varied product range covers Crawling and Flying Insects as well as Rodenticides.
